Photovoltaic energy is the direct transformation of solar radiation into electricity through photovoltaic panels. That is, technology based on the photovoltaic effect.
The main advantages of this technology is its modular aspect, as it allows for very varied constructions. They can be built from huge photovoltaic power plants to self-consumption generators. In addition, within this energy there are facilities connected to the grid. These are capable of transmitting all the energy produced to the electricity grid or failing that, to the very producer of that energy as can be a private home.
On the other hand, there are also photovoltaic energy installations that are not connected to the grid. Through batteries and regulators, they are able to store energy to subsequently meet lighting demands or pump irrigation systems. The latter are usually common on farms.
Photovoltaic energy is a clean, renewable and inexhaustible energy source and is therefore positioned as one of the best alternatives to care for the planet.
